"Each person is an individual. Hence, psychotherapy should be formulated to meet the uniqueness of the individual's needs, rather than tailoring the person to fit the Procrustean bed of a hypothetical theory of human behavior." - Milton Erickson (1979)
Welcome to my page! I am a final-year undergraduate psychology student at Pacific University deeply interested in clinical science.
I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an anticipated graduation in May 2027. My primary research interests include (1) the theory and assessment of emotion regulation and emotion-regulation flexibility, (2) technology-assisted psychotherapy (including: game-based interventions & mobile-app interventions), and (3) dimensional models of psychopathology (e.g., HiTOP, RDoC).
I currently serve as a Research Assistant in Dr. Erica Kleinknecht's Media Matters Lab, where I contribute to projects on cognition and learning in digital environments. This work has been presented at numerous conferences, and continues to receive institutional funding and support. In addition, I am supporting a summer 2026 project assessing the efficacy of a custom video game (made in Unreal Engine 4) and board game in improving emotion-regulation skills and flexibility, developing study materials for trials planned in Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
I have also worked in Pacific University's Office of Institutional Research and Assessment, conducting data visualization and analysis to support administrative decision-making, and served two semesters as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Ethics and Society (Philosophy 202), supporting instruction for a diverse student body. Outside of my academic and professional work, I am also the co-founder of PsychedWorkbooks, a collaborative platform for empirically-based psychology workbooks.
My research has been presented at Pacific University's Undergraduate Research Conference, where I received the Outstanding Poster in Social Sciences Award for my project on serious games and emotional resilience, as well as at the Western Psychological Association, the Association for Psychological Science, and the Association of Science Communicators.
Note: In my personal life, I am a very active person – whether it's embarking on outdoorsy adventures, advocating and protesting, creating a meaningful project, or connecting with others!
